You will work with a small team involved in the modelling and simulation of electro-optic systems operating in environments of interest to the ADF. Research outcomes will be applied to operational studies, the development of new capabilities, and Defence equipment acquisition.

The position requires:

• Knowledge of optics and electro-optic systems;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to liaise effectively with scientists and military personnel;
• A PhD or degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Physics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
