You will lead the ongoing development of the Virtual Ship concept and work closely with both the ADF and industry to ensure that research outcomes are transferred to operational service. The project involves the integration, using High Level Architecture (HLA), of simulation components that represent the systems of a warship.

The position requires:

• An excellent knowledge and experience in simulation techniques and HLA;
• Proficiency in object oriented analysis, C++ and JAVA;
• Proven ability to liaise with the ADF and industry;
• A PhD or degree in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering, or equivalent relevant qualifications and research experience.
