The successul applicant will, under general guidance, provide a range of specialised meteorological and related oceanographic services and products which are exclusive of those provided by the Bureau of Meteorology as part of the Basic Weather Service.

Minimum qualifications required for this position are a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Mathematics, Physics or Meteorology. Relevant experience would be an advantage; due to the immediate operational requirements of the position the Bureau is preferably seeking a trained meteorologist.

Please note that this position involves shiftwork.

Engagement to the Bureau is subject to a 12-month probationary period.
