Salary Range $72,910 to $78,701* (plus superannuation)
* ASIO salaries will increase by 4% from 1 April 2004 and a further 4% from 1 April 2005 under the current Workplace Bargaining Agreement.

The opportunity we offer: This is a challenging role in a busy unit, providing computer forensics support to the Organisation. The role involves managing a small team, providing technical leadership to the unit, and performing many of the technical roles of the unit. The position involves performing forensic analysis of computer media and related technologies in accordance with rigorous forensic methodologies. This is a permanent position.

The person we need: ASIO is seeking an experienced Information Technology professional who is interested in computer forensics in an operational environment and who has significant technical expertise in the area of computer forensics. The applicant should be committed to personal development and staff management and have a strong client focus. Applicants should be aware that the position involves domestic travel, often at short notice, and there is a component of ad-hoc after hours work.

Qualifications: Applicants must have tertiary qualifications in a computer science or engineering field, or extensive computer forensics experience.
