My client is looking for a trading analyst. The analysts in the firm are considered as algorithmic traders that thoroughly understand today's electronic markets. Typically, after a year of mentorship and training in trade floor operations, the Trading Analysts would then be responsible for the operation, improvement, and ongoing design of the Company's automated trading strategies. As part of this role, the Trading Analysts would work very closely with the Company's software engineers to perfect existing trading strategies and implement new strategies.

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent test scores and high academic marks are required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and VBA is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude is required.
  • Some programming experience is a plus.
  • No finance background is necessary. We are looking for bright analytical minds, with a focus on quantitative reasoning.

The Trading Analysts come from a range of backgrounds. However, candidates from (or currently in) hard science programs are most common (i.e. Math, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, etc.).
