A vacancy exists
for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of
Mathematics. The successful applicant will work with Dr Phil Pollett
on the Australian Research Council funded project "Analytical and
Computational Methods for studying Explosive Random Processes".
Applicants should
hold a PhD in any area of probability or statistics and have a demonstrated
record of research achievement in stochastic processes. This is a full-time
fixed-term position until 31 December 2003 at Level A.
The position is
available immediately and the appointee will be expected to take up
duty as soon as possible. Salary will be in the range A$39,603--$48,235
per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of 8%.
