Doctoral Fellow
Remote Sensing & Image Integration
CSIRO
Perth
$47K - 60K + superannuation
The Remote Sensing
and Image Integration project conducts research and applications to
provide information for improved assessment and management of Australia's
natural resources. The emphasis is on methods which measure and monitor
changes in terrestrial and marine environments, by integrating variables
derived from sequences of remotely sensed data with those derived from
other spatial data. To help achieve this, the project aims to explore
the use of Hierarchical Bayesian models for spatial and temporal data
and Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods for parameter estimation and propagation
of uncertainty.
The successful applicant
should have a PhD in either statistics, mathematics or computing.
The position is for 3 years and will be based in Perth.
