Centre for Research in Mathematics

Closing date: 31st August 2014

The new Centre for Research in Mathematics at UWS is seeking to build its research profile in Applied Mathematics through a senior appointment at Professor or Associate Professor level. Key selection criteria include: a strong research record in applied mathematics; the capacity to attract external grants, especially from industry; a quality teaching record; and leadership and mentoring experience. The appointee will be a creative researcher willing to work with collaborators within the Centre, the University, and externally. They will also be committed to the education of mathematics students at UWS and to strengthening the developing curriculum in mathematics.

The position may be filled in any field of Applied Mathematics but candidates that complement existing strengths are especially encouraged to apply.
