The Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (INMS) is a newly formed multi-disciplinary research and teaching Institute within the College of Sciences at Massey University's Albany campus incorporating Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Institute coexists with the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study, and together they have a formidable reputation for research and teaching.
Candidates for the position should have excellent academic credentials and be building an international reputation in Mathematics. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Institute's research outputs, to attract external research funding, to teach at all levels, to engage in new teaching initiatives, to mentor postgraduate students, to enhance the Mathematics curriculum and INMS programmes and to embrace the theme of innovation at Massey's Albany campus. You will demonstrate strong capabilities in any area of pure mathematics that complement the current faculty areas of expertise are especially encouraged to apply. The Mathematics teaching programme caters for students in mathematics, engineering, computing and information sciences, natural sciences, business and other disciplines.
