For a project http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/maths/people/staff/john_cremona/lmf funded by a six year (2013-2019) Programme Grant "LMF: L-functions and Modular Forms" awarded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to the Universities of Warwick and Bristol, we are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to work at Warwick under the supervision of Professor John Cremona. You will contribute to one or more aspects of the LMF research programme, which include computations with L-functions, modular forms and elliptic curves over number fields. Previous experience in one or more of these areas is essential.
As well as being actively involved with the Warwick Number Theory group, you will be expected to collaborate with other researchers working on the project in Bristol, attending the project's twice yearly workshops, and will be supported by an allowance for travel to conferences and have the opportunity to visit our Project Partners at the University of Waterloo (Canada), University of Washington (Seattle, USA), AIM (Palo Alto, USA) and ICTP (Trieste, Italy).
You must have a PhD in Mathematics, with a specialisation in number theory.
