The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to expand its expertise in optimisation and its applications, within the Operations Research group. You will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise PhD and MSc students and contribute to research in Optimisation. In particular, you may be expected to teach service subjects to Commerce, Engineering and Science students, to teach later year subjects, supervise research students and to develop genuine collaborative links with other departments of the University of Melbourne. In this role, you will be strongly encouraged to get involved in external contract research and consulting. Some administrative tasks for the Department are also part of the responsibilities of this position.
