Closing date: 17th May 2013A research associate position in fluid mechanics is available in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. The position is funded from the ARC Discovery Project “Shining the light on geometry of microstructured optical fibres”.
A PhD or equivalent qualification in applied mathematics (awarded or nearing completion) is required, as is a record of research and/or strong research potential in fluid mechanics.
Knowledge of the application of complex analysis in fluid mechanics is highly desirable.
Salary: (Level A) $58,534 - $79,435 per annum, plus an employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies. A minimum of $74,001 (Level A Step 6) per annum is payable to the holder of a PhD.
