The School of Mathematics and Statistics has a vigorous research culture and a stimulating teaching environment spread across the broad fields of applied mathematics, pure mathematics and statistics.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the teaching of mathematics at University level, exercise academic leadership and be highly involved in an active teaching community. We are seeking a generalist mathematician with excellent skills in teaching and learning to develop and deliver a range of first year units to students from across the University. The successful applicant will have up-to-date knowledge and demonstrated experience in a range of modern pedagogies, an emphasis on high quality learning outcomes, and a desire to provide leadership in the transition of students from high school to university mathematics. Applicants must have relevant qualifications, and are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application.
