Closing date: 31st March 2013The School of Mathematical Sciences is seeking four suitably qualified and enthusiastic Lecturers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics to join a highly motivated team at Clayton campus. These positions are newly created due to the establishment in 2013 of MAXIMA (Monash Academy for Cross and Interdisciplinary Mathematical Applications).
You will undertake research and teaching in the area of applied mathematics or statistics. Priority will be given to applicants with expertise in mathematical biology, optimisation, mathematical modelling and applied statistics.
To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD, an outstanding research record, experience collaborating with industry or interdisciplinary partners, and proven teaching ability.
This role is a full-time position for five years; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. Appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful applicant's qualifications and experience.
