The School of Mathematical Sciences is one of seven schools in the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. It comprises the disciplines of Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Statistics and is responsible for teaching the Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences and the Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences degree programs, as well as providing high quality service teaching into other degree programs offered by the University. The School provides an active and vibrant research environment and is internationally known for its research across all three of its disciplines.
As part of our commitment to further strengthen these disciplines, we are seeking to appoint five outstanding individuals in the areas of Applied Mathematics and Pure Mathematics.
Position Requirements
You should have:
- A PhD or equivalent in an area of Applied Mathematics or a related field.
- An active research program in an area of Applied Mathematics that supports the research interests of the School.
- Enthusiasm and ability to teach at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
