The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to expand its expertise in Probability Theory and its applications within the Stochastic Processes research group.

The successful applicant is expected to undertake research in Probability Theory and its applications. You will have a commitment to teaching and will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise graduate students. In particular, you may be expected to teach service statistics and/or mathematics subjects.

The University of Melbourne provides a wide range of opportunities for exciting research collaboration, and the candidate will be encouraged to develop genuine collaborative links with other Departments. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake some administrative tasks for the Department.
