The School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics at the University of Wollongong is internationally recognised for its research intensity and quality, having attained an "above- world standard" classification in the Excellence in the 2015 Research for Australia (ERA) rankings. We provide a learning and research environment that is supported by highly- qualified academic staff with expertise covering a wide range of sub-disciplines within the mathematical sciences.

This position will carry out teaching, research, governance and community outreach/professional service duties. You will have research experience in pure mathematics, with particular focus on functional analysis. Highly desirable research strengths for this position are operator algebras, noncommutative geometry or related aspects of dynamics or algebraic topology.
