Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics

This position will undertake a teaching and service role with the School of Natural Sciences, together with a proportion of their time devoted to scholarship of teaching or research. The appointee will be expected to teach a variety of Applied Mathematics subjects at all undergraduate levels, including large first year classes, as well as to supervise and teach Honours students. Collaborative course and program design in Applied Mathematics will be an integral part of this position, as will marking and assessment of student performance. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to supervise research higher degree students and to seek National Competitive Grant funding. Appropriate administrative duties will be assigned by the Head of School and may include, but are not limited to, acting as course and program convenor, membership of committees within the wider university and working with external professional bodies. The appointee will also be expected to provide leadership in the scholarship of teaching and learning in the Applied Mathematics Discipline.
Salary range: Senior Lecturer, Level C: $109,462 - $126,220 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $128,072 - $147,678 per annum.
