The role

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at Academic level B, C or D depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful appointee will be expected to take an active role in the research efforts of the School. This includes frequent publication in high-quality journals, participation in and organizing of conferences, international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and attracting competitive research funding. The appointee will be expected to teach from a selection of undergraduate statistics and mathematics courses, ranging from large first year courses to specialised graduate courses. Other teaching duties include postgraduate supervision and curriculum development. The selected candidate will be expected to raise further the University's strong international profile in statistics, and to attract postgraduate students and Postdoctoral Researchers to the University.

The person

Applicants must have a strong international research record, relative to opportunity. Also, they must have a genuine commitment to statistics teaching and curriculum development, and be an advocate of statistics within the University and in the broader community. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate how their research interests mesh with our existing strengths.

Remuneration

The remuneration package will be in the range:

Academic Level B - $89,458 - $106,232 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $104,666 - $124,291 p.a.).

Academic Level C - $109,586 - $126,360 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $128,216 - $147,841 p.a.).

Academic Level D - $131,951 - $145,370 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $154,382 - $170,083 p.a.).
