Generalist Intelligence Officer (GIO)

Starting salary is $36,300

On completion of
the traineeship your salary will rise to $43,863 within the GIO range
$43,863 - $56,188 (plus superannuation).
The person we need:
ASIO is looking for graduates to train as Generalist Intelligence Officers.
ASIO encourages applications from graduates who are seeking a career
change as well as graduates who have recently (or will soon complete)
their study. If your application is successful you will be required
to relocate to Canberra and undertake a twelve-month traineeship. Upon
successful completion of the traineeship you may be posted interstate.

ASIO is looking
for people with:

to cultural differences;

- An ability to
organise and represent groups of people;
- An ability to
develop, implement and evaluate a plan/project;
- The ability to
initiate and respond to change;and
- Information technology
skills.
Qualifications:
GIO's are required to have at least four years tertiary education in
any discipline. This means a 4-year bachelor degree or a 3-year bachelor
degree and a postgraduate award or an Honours degree or a double degree.
